Fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate sheets for aircraft applications
EUROPLEX® GV 183 sheets are made from fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate. The fiberglass alignment during extrusion results in special physical properties, particularly with regard to durability and heat expansion. In addition, the material is remarkably impact resistant.
The sheets are used wherever lightweight design and high form stability are required. Structural and paneling components of EUROPLEX® GV 183 are particularly important in helicopter manufacturing. The material is also ideally suited for weight-bearing functional parts, air supply ducts, and housing covers.
