The branded acrylic glass for every need
PLEXIGLAS® is a popular material for many applications. In the pure form it is completely clear and transparent, and yet much lighter than glass. Even after many years, the highly weather-resistant material looks new. And on top, the branded acrylic glass is easy to cut, drill, sand, and much more.
PLEXIGLAS®: you’ll love the variety
PLEXIGLAS® is available in a variety of shapes:
PLEXIGLAS® solid sheets and blocks: the all-rounders
Sheets—also commonly referred to as panels—and blocks made of PLEXIGLAS® are the starting point for a wide variety of potential applications. Thanks to their considerable durability and resistance to UV and weathering, sheets and blocks can be used in interior and exterior applications alike. Solid sheets are produced using two different methods: PLEXIGLAS® XT is extruded and PLEXIGLAS® GS is cast. Because their manufacturing processes differ, the two types are characterized by different properties, offering a range of advantages for various applications. More information on PLEXIGLAS® solid sheets and blocks is available here.
PLEXIGLAS® multi-skin sheets for exceptional stability
Multi-skin sheets, also frequently referred to as hollow sheets or twin-wall sheets, are hollow-profile materials consisting of two parallel, external sheets (walls) and possibly a third inner wall that is generally parallel to the outer walls. These walls are then joined together via connective ribbing. The hollow chambers that these form are characteristic of multi-skin sheets. The unique structure of PLEXIGLAS® multi-skin sheets makes them excellent thermal insulators and allows them to bear considerable weight while weighing relatively little themselves. Uses include patio roofs, greenhouses, carports, and partitions. More information on PLEXIGLAS® multi-skin sheets can be found here. PLEXIGLAS® corrugated sheets: the roofing classic
Applications for PLEXIGLAS® corrugated sheet are similar: extruded from the branded acrylic glass and frequently used in exterior roofing (for carports, patios, canopies, etc.), these sheets are easy to process and exceptionally convenient to install. PLEXIGLAS® films
From traffic signs to building exterior elements to light guides in mobile devices: PLEXIGLAS® films work well for many specialized applications.
