Windshield

PLEXIGLAS® cast acrylic is used for windshields in sport aircraft, where lightweight design, optical clarity, and reliable mechanical performance are essential.

Cockpit and carbin windows

Combining low weight with excellent transparency, thermal shock resistance, UV protection, and durable mechanical properties, PLEXIGLAS® solutions deliver safe, long-lasting performance under varying flight conditions.

Canopy glazing

Used for canopy glazing, PLEXIGLAS® Aviation Grades deliver the optical precision and structural reliability required under extreme flight conditions. The material combines improved crack resistance, high impact strength, and excellent craze resistance to ensure durability against cyclic loads, impacts, and chemical exposure.

Edge-lit instrument panels

PLEXIGLAS® cast acrylic is used for edge-lit instrument panels in the flight deck, where light transmission, material stability, and fabrication precision must work together to produce controlled illumination and consistent results within every instrument panel.

Wing-tip lenses

Lights on the wing tips of airplanes are there for safety reasons. This allows anyone on the ground or another aircraft to know the position and direction of the aircraft in flight. PLEXIGLAS® aviation grades offer high surface hardness and weather-resistance to hazing and yellowing making it an ideal material for wing tip lighting lenses.
